Inside Plantation Resort
Plantation Resort is one of Frisco's older golf course neighborhoods, in ZIP 75035 on the Collin County side of the city. It surrounds an 18-hole, par 72 course designed by Richard Ellis that opened in 1988 as Plantation Golf Club and was renamed The Club at Frisco Farms in 2025 under Arcis Golf. Resale homes here were largely built in the 1990s, which gives buyers a lower entry point than most of Frisco: active listings ranged from $385,000 to $975,000 in an October 2026 snapshot.
The lesson here is age. A home built in 1992 is now on its original or second roof, HVAC and water heater, and buyers in this price range negotiate hard off the inspection report. If you are selling, the money usually goes further on mechanicals and roof than on a cosmetic remodel. If you are buying, remember the golf course is privately owned and operated, not by the HOA, so the course and the HOA pool are two separate things.
