Inside Craig Ranch
Craig Ranch is a 2,200-acre master-planned community in McKinney, north of State Highway 121, founded by developer David Craig. It is best known for TPC Craig Ranch, a private golf club designed by Tom Weiskopf and established in 2004, which has hosted the PGA TOUR's Byron Nelson each May since 2021.
My lesson here: in a golf community, the view is priced in. Homes on or facing the course usually ask more, but golf frontage also brings stray balls, event week traffic and sometimes extra rules. Walk the lot on a busy weekend, and ask me to pull sales that compare course lots with interior lots so you know what the view is really worth.
