Overton Park, Fort Worth

Overton Park is a southwest Fort Worth neighborhood in ZIP 76109 built along Overton Park, a nearly 50 acre linear park created in 1959 with almost 2 miles of multi-use trails, tennis courts at its north end and a connection to Foster Park at its south end. It sits next to Tanglewood, with the newer Overton Woods homes nearby and the Riverhills section of Edwards Ranch bordering Overton Woods. It is in Fort Worth ISD, with Overton Park Elementary, McLean and Paschal listed for the area, and it fits buyers who want trail access and a short drive to TCU, the Hulen corridor and Clearfork.

The lesson here is to separate the original 1960s homes from the later builds. A 1961 home in the Overton Park Addition went pending at $1,100,000 in March 2026 on 2,385 sq ft, while a 1996 Overton Woods home listed at $1,750,000 for 5,298 sq ft, so land and location carry much of the value in the older section. If you own an original home, I price it against both updated sales and land value. If you are buying, I check drainage and foundation on lots near the park and creek before you commit.
