The original campus, in a newer building

Frisco High School traces back to 1902, but the campus families visit today at 6401 Parkwood Boulevard (75034) dates to 1996. The building it used from 1973 to 1996 later became Staley Middle School, which Frisco ISD retired at the end of the 2025-26 school year. The Raccoons enrolled 1,778 students in 2025-26, according to TEA data published by the Texas Tribune, down from 1,985 the year before.

For buyers, the detail that matters most is the IB Diploma Programme. Frisco ISD runs it at Frisco High, with about 100 seats per cohort. Students zoned to Frisco High are automatically accepted in the lottery, while students from other zones enter a lottery for the remaining seats and must provide their own transportation. If IB is the plan, an address inside this zone removes a lot of uncertainty.

The zone is compact and sits almost entirely in south Frisco's 75034. Zones still follow the exact address, and Frisco ISD says its online search is not 100% accurate, so run every house through the district's School Zone Search and confirm with the campus at 469.633.5500. I confirm the campus for every address before we write an offer, and in this zone I also check which middle school it lands in after the Staley change.

Feeder pattern

Hunt carries the zone, with two smaller feeders

Hunt Middle (about 79% of addresses)

Fed by Spears, Allen, part of Bright and part of Shawnee Trail elementary schools. Hunt is one of several middle schools whose whole zone goes to a single high school, and in 2026-27 that school is Frisco High.

Pearson Middle (about 11%)

Fed by the part of Hosp Elementary that sits in this zone. Most of Pearson's zone goes to Reedy High, so a Pearson address needs the high school checked separately.

Griffin Middle (about 10%)

Fed by part of Bright Elementary. Griffin sends students to four high schools in 2026-27: Wakeland, Memorial, Frisco and Lone Star.

The Staley change

Staley Middle closed after 2025-26 and its students were reassigned to Hunt, Trent and Griffin. Comparing the 2025-26 and 2026-27 zone files, roughly 800 Frisco High zone addresses moved from Staley to Hunt and roughly 700 moved to Griffin. The high school assignment did not change, which matches what the district announced in October 2025.

Elementary splits to know

Spears and Shawnee Trail also serve Lebanon Trail addresses, Hosp also serves Reedy addresses, and Bright splits between Hunt and Griffin. If a listing names one of those elementaries, confirm all three levels for that address.

Neighborhoods

Neighborhoods we checked against the zone file

Edgestone at Legacy

A listing address on Loxton Boulevard returns Allen Elementary, Hunt Middle and Frisco High in the 2026-27 zone data. Edgestone is the Hines master plan west of Legacy Drive.

South Frisco around Parkwood

Most of the zone's addresses sit in 75034, which also includes neighborhoods served by Lewisville ISD and other Frisco ISD high schools. Our Frisco ZIP code guide explains why the ZIP alone cannot tell you the school.

The 75036 sliver

About 8% of the zone's addresses fall in 75036, the west Frisco ZIP. Those homes are in Denton County, so their tax bill is figured differently from a Collin County address.

Not on this list?

I add neighborhoods here only after testing a real address against the district's zone data. Send me the address you are considering and I will check all three levels. To compare zones side by side, see Frisco homes by high school and our Frisco ISD school zones guide.

Campus life

IB, academics and getting there

How IB admission works

Rising ninth graders apply during a fall window; the district's IB page lists October 28 to November 21 for the most recent cohort, with offers emailed in early December. Students start at Frisco High in ninth grade, and IB Diploma courses begin in 11th grade. Later entry depends on open seats and a conversation with the IB coordinator.

IB and other options together

Frisco ISD reported in September 2026 that five of its 120 National Merit Semifinalists for 2027 were IB Diploma students at Frisco High, and eight of the 120 attended Frisco High overall. Students here can also take classes at the district's Career and Technical Education Center and Collin College.

Athletics

For 2026-28 Frisco High plays basketball and volleyball in District 11-5A with seven other Frisco ISD schools, and football in 5A Division II, District 4.

Transportation

Frisco High, Hunt, Pearson and Griffin were all on the district's October 2026 list for fare-based busing ($500 per student for 2026-27, $175 on free or reduced meals). IB students who live outside the zone cannot count on it, because eligibility requires attending the zoned school.

Read with care
75034 covers a wide mix of neighborhoods and price points, plus areas zoned to other districts, which helps explain why its median list price runs well above its typical value. Compare closed sales in the specific neighborhood before you set a budget.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I have to live in the Frisco High zone to join the IB program?
No. The IB Diploma Programme is open to rising ninth graders across Frisco ISD, but students zoned to Frisco High are automatically accepted in the lottery and others compete for the remaining seats. Out-of-zone families provide transportation. If IB is the priority, the zone gives you certainty.
What middle schools feed Frisco High School?
For 2026-27 the zone file shows Hunt (about 79% of addresses), Pearson and Griffin. Pearson and Griffin also feed other high schools, so check all three levels for the exact address.
How did the Staley Middle closure affect Frisco High?
Staley students were reassigned to Hunt, Trent and Griffin for 2026-27. Inside the Frisco High zone, former Staley addresses now go to Hunt or Griffin, and the high school stayed the same. A listing that still names Staley is out of date.
Where is Frisco High School?
At 6401 Parkwood Boulevard, Frisco, TX 75034. The phone number is 469.633.5500.
Which neighborhoods are zoned to Frisco High?
A listing address we tested in Edgestone at Legacy maps to Frisco High in the 2026-27 zone data. Most of the zone is in 75034. Confirm any specific address with the district's School Zone Search before you make an offer.
Is Frisco High's enrollment dropping?
TEA data shows 1,778 students in 2025-26, down from 1,985 in 2024-25. Frisco ISD says district enrollment peaked at just over 67,000 in March 2023 and stood near 62,000 in October 2026, so ask the district about any boundary review before you pay a premium for a specific campus.
