Memorial draws from four middle schools, and the Staley closure changed the middle school for thousands of addresses in its zone.

A central zone that crosses the Tollway

Memorial High School opened in 2018 at 12300 Frisco Street in Frisco (75033). TEA data published by the Texas Tribune shows the Warriors at 1,136 students in their first year, 2018-19, a high of 1,975 in 2021-22, and 1,518 in 2025-26. TEA also shows 13.2 students per teacher in 2024-25, the lowest ratio among Frisco ISD's 12 high schools that year.

The zone covers both sides of the Dallas North Tollway. When I placed the addresses in Frisco ISD's 2026-27 zone file inside Census ZIP boundaries, about 61% landed in 75033 and 39% in 75035. With roughly 8,000 address points, it is one of the larger zones by address count, even though the school's enrollment is in the lower half of the district.

This is the zone where the 2026-27 middle school changes landed hardest. Frisco ISD retired Staley Middle after 2025-26, and inside the Memorial zone those addresses now go to Griffin or Trent. Zones follow the exact address and the district says its online search is not 100% accurate, so check any house in the School Zone Search and confirm with Memorial at 469.633.7300. I pull all three levels for every address before we write an offer.

Feeder pattern

Four middle schools after Staley

Trent Middle (about 34% of addresses)

Fed by part of Rogers, the Memorial side of Newman and part of Pink Elementary. About 1,300 of these addresses were zoned to Staley in 2025-26. Trent also feeds Lone Star and Panther Creek.

Griffin Middle (about 27%)

Fed by the larger part of Rogers Elementary. Every one of these roughly 2,200 addresses was a Staley address in 2025-26. Griffin now feeds four high schools: Memorial, Wakeland, Frisco and Lone Star.

Maus Middle (about 23%)

Fed by most of Tadlock Elementary. Maus also sends part of its zone to Heritage High, so a Maus address needs the high school confirmed.

Wester Middle (about 16%)

Fed by Sem and part of Tadlock Elementary. Most of Wester's zone goes to Centennial High; the Memorial share is the smaller one.

Elementary schools

Rogers is the largest elementary in the zone (about 3,700 addresses) and splits between Griffin and Trent. Tadlock splits between Maus and Wester. Newman, Sem and Pink also serve addresses that go to other high schools.

What changed for 2026-27

At the high school level, no address moved from Memorial to another high school or back between the 2025-26 and 2026-27 files. About 140 addresses that fell outside every 2025-26 high school boundary sit inside Memorial's 2026-27 zone, so if you are buying on a newer street, ask the district to confirm.

Neighborhoods

Neighborhoods we checked against the zone file

Newman Village

Listing addresses on Timber Crossing Drive and Newman Boulevard return Newman Elementary, Trent Middle and Memorial High in the 2026-27 zone data. Newman Village is guard-gated and built on the Newman family homestead.

Old Staley addresses

If a listing in this zone still shows Staley Middle, it is out of date. Based on the district file, those homes now show Griffin or Trent, and Rogers Elementary covers most of them.

East of the Tollway

About 3,100 of the zone's addresses are in 75035, which is entirely in Collin County. Those homes also pay the Collin College rate, so compare tax estimates by county, not just by school.

Not on this list?

I add neighborhoods only after testing a real address against the district's 2026-27 data. Send me the address you are considering and I will run it. To compare zones side by side, see Frisco homes by high school and our Frisco ISD school zones guide.

Campus life

Programs and recent results

Athletics

For 2026-28 Memorial plays basketball and volleyball in District 11-5A and football in 5A Division II, District 4, with Frisco, Emerson, Independence and Panther Creek.

Academics

Frisco ISD's September 2026 list of 120 National Merit Semifinalists for 2027 included one Memorial student. Memorial students can also take courses at the district's Career and Technical Education Center.

Getting to school

Memorial, all four feeder middle schools (Trent, Griffin, Maus and Wester) and the Rogers and Sem elementary schools were on the district's October 2026 list for fare-based busing ($500 per student for 2026-27, $175 on free or reduced meals). Rogers and Sem were two of only four elementary schools on that list.

Transfers in

Memorial was one of six Frisco ISD high schools open to in-district transfers for incoming ninth graders in 2026-27, a list limited to campuses below 90% of projected capacity. Families zoned elsewhere could request a Memorial seat during the transfer windows, but a transfer is never guaranteed and parents handle transportation.

Read with care
Each ZIP covers several other high school zones, so treat these as context. In this zone the price gap between a guard-gated neighborhood and a 2000s production home is wide; closed sales in the specific neighborhood tell you more.

FAQ

Common questions

What middle schools feed Memorial High School?
For 2026-27 the zone file shows four: Trent, Griffin, Maus and Wester. Each of them also feeds at least one other high school, so confirm all three levels for the exact address.
How did the Staley closure affect the Memorial zone?
Staley closed after 2025-26. Inside the Memorial zone, about 2,200 former Staley addresses now go to Griffin and about 1,300 to Trent, while the high school stayed Memorial. A listing that still names Staley is out of date.
Is Newman Village zoned to Memorial High?
Listing addresses we tested in Newman Village map to Newman Elementary, Trent Middle and Memorial High in Frisco ISD's 2026-27 zone data. Confirm the exact address with the district before you write an offer.
How many students attend Memorial High School?
TEA data shows 1,518 students in 2025-26, compared with 1,975 in 2021-22. That keeps Memorial in UIL 5A for 2026-28.
Will the Memorial zone change?
As of October 2026 I found no announced Memorial boundary change for 2027-28. Frisco ISD reviews projections every fall and is planning for lower enrollment, so ask the district before your option period ends.
How do I confirm a house is zoned to Memorial?
Use Frisco ISD's School Zone Search, then call Memorial at 469.633.7300 or the district at 469.633.6000 and confirm elementary, middle and high school for the coming year. Keep the written answer with your contract.
