Inside Old Town Lewisville

Old Town is the historic core of Lewisville, first organized as a downtown in the 1870s and centered on the intersection of Main and Mill streets. The city's 2010 transit-oriented master plan and its Lewisville 2025 vision brought Wayne Ferguson Plaza, the Lewisville Grand Theater and a wave of new for-sale townhomes, row houses, condos and apartments, and the DCTA Old Town A-train station sits about half a mile east on Main Street. It fits buyers who want to walk to restaurants and events and sellers of older homes on nearby streets who are seeing new neighbors arrive.

The lesson here is that Old Town is a mix of product types, not one subdivision. A 2019 row house in South Village, a for-sale townhome in Uptown Village and a 1960s ranch a few blocks away all trade differently, and many nearby blocks have no HOA while the newer projects do. When I price a home here, I compare it with sales of the same product type within walking distance, and I check the HOA and any future projects planned on the next block.
