A downtown campus still under construction
Goldman Sachs is building its Dallas campus at 2323 North Field Street in the NorthEnd area of downtown, beside a new 1.5 acre park and next to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, near Victory Park. Dallas Innovates reported at the October 10, 2023 groundbreaking that the 800,000 square foot campus has two wings, the tallest at 14 floors, and is designed for more than 5,000 employees. At that time Goldman had about 4,000 workers in Dallas.
The timeline has moved a little. In a September 3, 2026 Fox Business interview, a Goldman Sachs executive said the firm is looking at a launch around January 2028 after small construction delays. If your start date is earlier, you will likely work from an interim office first, so ask where before you choose a neighborhood.

Five places Dallas finance employees actually compare
Mostly condos, townhomes and apartments north of downtown, with the Katy Trail and the free M-Line trolley. Typical value in ZIP 75204 was about $491K (Zillow, Sept 2026). Dallas ISD serves Uptown, and the 2025 combined rate in Dallas ISD was about 2.23% (city 0.6988, Dallas ISD 0.993835, plus 0.534075 for Dallas County, Parkland Hospital and Dallas College per $100).
Two small towns surrounded by Dallas, both in Highland Park ISD, which serves all of University Park, most of Highland Park and two small pieces of Dallas. Typical values were about $3.03M in Highland Park and $2.47M in University Park (Zillow, Sept 2026). Their 2025 combined rates were the lowest in this guide, about 1.57% and 1.59%.
Large wooded lots and estates in the west, mid-century ranches and new builds to the east, about 6 miles north of downtown. Typical value in ZIP 75230 was about $1.06M and in ZIP 75225 about $2.08M (Zillow, Sept 2026). Public schools are Dallas ISD, zoned by address; the 2025 combined rate was about 2.23%.

For buyers who want newer homes and suburban schools. Typical values were about $498K in Plano and $640K in Frisco (Zillow, Sept 2026). Most of Plano is in Plano ISD and most of Frisco in Frisco ISD; 2025 combined rates in Collin County were about 1.71% (Plano ISD) and 1.68% (Frisco ISD). See the Texava Plano and Frisco city pages for details.
Why the city line matters more than the ZIP code
Texas has no personal income tax, which is a real raise if you are coming from New York, New Jersey or another high-tax state. Property tax is where Texas collects instead, and inside Dallas County the rate swings widely by city and school district.
Before exemptions, for tax year 2025: a $491K Uptown condo at about 2.23% is roughly $10,900 a year (about $910 a month). A $2.47M University Park home at about 1.59% is roughly $39,200 a year (about $3,270 a month). A $640K Frisco home at about 1.68% is roughly $10,700 a year (about $890 a month). Rates come from Republic Title's 2025 DFW tax rate sheet.
Exemptions change the real bill. Every Texas school district must give a $140,000 homestead exemption on your primary residence, and Dallas, Highland Park and University Park each offer a 20% city homestead exemption. You apply with the county appraisal district, generally before May 1. If you close after January 1, you can still claim the exemption for the rest of that year as long as the seller did not already receive it for that year. Once you qualify, the taxable appraised value of your homestead cannot rise more than 10% a year, starting the following tax year.
